Bodegas Pinord is proud to have been the first winery in Spain to make pearl wines.
Pearl, or naturally sparkling wines, give off fine bubbles that are produced by the fermentation of residual sugars from the grapes, giving them an especially fruity flavour and a light, sumptuous palate. These characteristic features make it an attractive wine to drink at any time.
 
As the name suggests, these wines are characterised by their each being made from a single variety of grape.
These varieties are meticulously selected so as to be able to obtain extremely aromatic wines. They are ideally suited to ageing and thus delighting us with the different nuances nature has to offer us.
 
 
We have an extensive range to suit different palates: dry white, obtained from coupage of the Macabeu, Xarel.lo and Parellada varieties; rosé obtained by draining off macerated Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes; and reds made from Merlot, Tempranillo and Garnacha.
 
Bodegas Pinord has paid tribute to the expertise of its wine-growing forbears by giving its cavas -Champagne-style sparkling wines- one of the family surnames: Marrugat. These limited-production cavas are the result of selecting and blending excellent wines from our own vineyards. They are made according to the traditional method and left to settle for a long time in our cellars, which means they are of top quality.
 
 
As a result of the Mediterranean tradition of making sweet wines, we have three of this type to offer: the classical Muscatel, a young, extremely fruity wine made only from the grape from which it takes its name; Pinord Old Reserve, a generous wine made from Garnacha grapes and aged in the cask; and Ponto Rancio, a generous wine left to age for a long period in our solera.
 
We offer you three basic ingredients for good cooking: an aromatic wine obtained by macerating aromatic herbs in a premier quality old wine with plenty of body; a Cabernet Sauvignon wine vinegar aged in oak casks; and a low-acidity olive oil made from Arbequina olives.
 
 
In order to bring our customers the best products from all wine-growing areas, Bodegas Pinord imports Fivaller’s Armagnac and Dos Santos Port. All the production processes involved in making these products are constantly supervised by our experts in order to offer the maximum guarantee.
 
This sangria is made from a sweet red wine that is macerated in natural fruit to produce a drink that is a perfect companion during those long, hot days of summer.
 
 
Nature has made us a marvellous gift by creating natural terraces in the highest areas of El Penedčs.
From this vantage point, you will be able to enjoy to the full the grandeur, the peace, the silence and the breeze of these lands, and you will see the effort put in day in, day out to ensure a good harvest.
You will observe ecological agriculture at work, see how we abide by its rules, respecting everything from the tiny crickets to the beautiful partridges that you will be able to enjoy as you watch them hopping about under the vines.
Production is oenologically reasonable and ecological. In the cellar we bring out as many antioxidants as possible, as they not only benefit your health, but also the flavour and aroma that differentiate these wines from the rest.
